Hi, how are you?
I'm Javiera, a Senior Product Designer based in Spain.
I've worked in tech scaleups across real estate, mobility, travel, podcasting, virtual events, and HR systems. Much of my recent work has involved designing products under heavy technical and regulatory constraints.
My focus is on systems thinking, discovery, and translating business and technical trade-offs into products that teams can build and customers can trust.
Personio
In 2022 I joined the Payroll team at Personio. My focus has been on Payroll Integrations. It's a backend and API-heavy area shaped by country-specific regulations, technical constraints, and uneven system capabilities. A core part of my work is designing standardized solutions that can hold up across these variations, through discovery, cross-functional alignment, and careful trade-off decisions, while staying aligned with Personio's product and design frameworks.
Hopin
At Hopin, I worked with different teams within the Event Organizer tribe, mainly with Campaign Manager (the built-in email tool), Canvas 2.0 (the event page builder tool), and Audiences (the audience CRM). Canvas 2.0, a page builder built from scratch on top of legacy infrastructure, was technically demanding. Audiences was more about getting the data model right, since bad assumptions there are expensive to unwind later.
TravelPerk
On November 2019, I joined TravelPerk. During my time here, I worked with the Trip Support and Payments squads. In the former, I owned the design of Lighthouse, a custom agent workstation for our Customer Care Team, as well as other customer-facing experiences. In the latter, I led the discovery and design of a new travel credit dashboard.
RSS.com
In the summer of 2019, I started collaborating with RSS.com, the #1, easiest-to-use podcast maker app around. One of my first projects was to do a full rebrand of the platform. Shortly after, I redesigned the landing page, user dashboard, and public podcast page, and also introduced new features to both the dashboard and public podcast page.
Badi
Prior to that, I worked at Badi to help improve the experience of seekers (users looking to share a flat in their city of choice) by redesigning the previous search. I also contributed to the general look and feel of the platform by introducing a new illustration style, animations, and micro-interactions.
